Cole Sprouse Tapped to Star in Romantic Drama, ‘Five Feet Apart’

Cole is Heading Back to the Big Screen

Riverdale’s talented Cole Sprouse portrays Southside Serpent member and Archie Andrew’s, Jughead Jones, on the cult hit series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cole will topline in a romantic drama from CBS Films, Five Feet Apart. This would mark his first film of his adult career. Cole is to portray one half of the couple the film is centered around.

Written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis, the script centers on two young people who meet and fall in love while being treated for their illnesses, knowing that they are both living on borrowed time. The story is described as being uplifting and about the people who help make every moment count as well as the transcendent power of love.

Five Feet Apart is tentatively to begin shooting Spring. Fellow CW star, Jane the Virgin, Justin Baldoni, who has directed several documentaries will serve as the film’s director. Cathy Schulman, an Academy Award-winning producer for Crash, will be producing via her Welle Entertainment banner as well as Baldoni through his company, Wayfarer Entertainment. While Mark Ross is overseeing for CBS Films.
